Devotional
We all want good things to happen in our lives, but too often we want it now…not later. And when it doesn’t happen as we expected, we’re tempted to feel sour and gravely bitter. However, waiting is a necessary process and a part of life. Every one of us knowingly or unknowingly subscribes to it in a different way. But then again, the Bible encourages us in Eccl. 7:8, it says,
Key Scripture
The end of a matter is better than the beginning, and a patient spirit is better than a proud one.Eccl. 7:8 BSB
Refreshing for the Day
So, waiting is a sure sub for all, but the question now is, when we wait, do we wait the right way or the wrong way? If we wait the wrong way, we’ll be miserable; but if we decide to wait the right way, the God’s way, we can become patient and enjoy the wait. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
It takes practice to learn patience while we wait, but as we let God help us in each situation, we would develop true peace and joy.
Responsibility
So, dearly beloved, ask God for the grace to be patient in your waiting season.
Pause in His presence
Prayer
O LORD, give me the grace to be patient even in my waiting season, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Carry this with you
Prophetic Word
As you wait and trust in God for anything good in life, may the Lord answer you and send you help speedily, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
