So, beloved, it has been established that when we surrender our self-reliance and place our hope in God, His intervention becomes our steadfast assurance. Now, let us explore sure ways we can achieve this feat. One convinced way is to acknowledge our inherent brokenness (Psalm 51:17). When we cry out, “Oh Lord, save me from myself,” we recognize our human frailty and the brokenness that resides within us. It is an admission that we need a Savior who can rescue us from the destructive patterns and tendencies that hinder our spiritual growth.

Gracious Lord, I come before You with a humble heart, acknowledging my weaknesses and the ways in which I have fallen short. I surrender my desires, my plans, and my self-centeredness into Your loving hands. Help me to release control and trust in Your divine guidance, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
