So, beloved, another individual in the Bible who exhibited great courage and conquered his fear is Joshua. Joshua succeeded Moses as the leader of the Israelites, and displayed tremendous courage when he led the people into the Promised Land. He had to conquer fortified cities, face formidable enemies, and deal with the challenges of leadership.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.(Joshua 1:9)
