WITH JESUS IN YOUR LIFE (22)

Devotional

Sure, peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22). And with Jesus in our lives, we have peace; peace with God, peace with self and peace with men. As human, in our sinful nature, we cannot help ourselves, we cannot be reconciled with God, nor have peace with others, no matter how hard we try. So, God took the initiative in pursuing peace with us by sending His Son to earth (John 3:16). Jesus lived a perfect life, His crucifixion paid for the sins of all who would trust in Him (2 Cor. 5:21), and His resurrection guarantees our justification before God (Rom 4:25).

Key Scripture

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1 NIV

Refreshing for the Day

Jesus is the Prince of peace (Isaiah 9:6), and He is the One who gives us peace with God. That’s why the message of salvation in Christ is called the “gospel of peace” (Eph. 6:15). And thank God, today, that gospel of peace is preached once again. Our hope renewed and is secure in the knowledge that Jesus has done all that was necessary to make us right with God (Matt 5:17). So, beloved, congratulations and Happy Easter to you and yours. Stay Refreshed!

Note This

Peace with God means our consciences are cleared. The overwhelming weight of guilt that plagued us all is gone, placed on Jesus on the cross, (Col. 2:4).

Responsibility

You see, beloved, God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life. So, go ahead and celebrate your peace in God through the risen Christ.
