Focus
The Fruit of Christlikeness
Message
Spiritual maturity is not about doing more—it’s about becoming more like Christ. This series is a journey from self to surrender, from outer appearance to inner transformation. It’s about allowing the Holy Spirit to shape our hearts, refine our character, and form the image of Christ in every part of our lives. Whether you’re in the fire of refinement or the quiet process of pruning, God is working to form Christ in you—until your life reflects His.
Devotional
When Christ is being formed in you, it produces visible fruit. Spiritual maturity is not proven by spiritual gifts, but by spiritual fruit. Gifts can operate in immature believers, but fruit only grows in surrendered hearts. Galatians 5:22–23 lists the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This is the evidence of Christ’s life fully alive in you. The world isn’t looking for more gifted Christians—it’s desperate for people who live like Jesus. Your love in conflict, your patience in trials, your joy in uncertainty, your peace in storms—these all testify that Christ is being formed in you.
Scripture Reading
John 15:8 – “This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
Refreshing for the Day
Fruit takes time to grow. It requires watering, pruning, and seasons of waiting. But when it’s fully formed, it reflects the beauty of Jesus. So, beloved, focus not just on your gifts but your fruit. Ask God to cultivate the character of Christ in every area of your life. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
Gifts can impress people; fruit transforms people.
Responsibility
Examine your fruit today. Ask the Holy Spirit to highlight one area where more fruit needs to grow. Surrender that area to His cultivation.
Pause in His presence
