Devotional
Jesus’ death on the cross was the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of humanity. By willingly bearing the weight of our sins, He broke the power of sin and provided a way for reconciliation between God and humanity, restoring what was broken and lost. The victory of the cross means that we are no longer slaves to sin but set free to live in righteousness and holiness. It means that we are forgiven, accepted, and adopted as children of God.
Key Scripture
He himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.1 Peter 2:24 (NIV)
