Counsel in Confusion
Message
Life is full of decisions—some small, others destiny-defining. Human reasoning can only take you so far, but the Spirit of Counsel provides divine guidance that never fails. Counsel is more than advice; it is Heaven’s direction, given by the Spirit, that leads you into the path of God’s will. Psalm 16:7 declares: “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”
The Spirit of Counsel does not just answer questions—it aligns your heart with God’s wisdom, provides clarity in confusion, and gives peace in direction. He teaches you how to walk, when to wait, and where to go. This devotional series will help you learn how to recognize, receive, and walk in the counsel of God, so that your life decisions align with Heaven’s design.
Devotional
Confusion is one of the enemy’s greatest weapons. He seeks to cloud your mind with doubt, fear, and indecision. But the Spirit of Counsel brings clarity in the midst of uncertainty. Isaiah 30:21 promises: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” When Jehoshaphat faced a vast army, he didn’t know what to do. But as he sought the Lord, the Spirit of Counsel spoke through Jahaziel: “Do not be afraid or discouraged… for the battle is not yours, but God’s” (2 Chronicles 20:15). That word brought direction and peace in the middle of chaos.
Scripture Reading
Isaiah 30:21 – God directs your steps in uncertainty. 2 Chronicles 20:12–15 – Counsel came to Jehoshaphat in confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 – God is not the author of confusion but of peace.
Refreshing for the Day
