Devotional
As we forge on this matter, I would like to whisper this in your heart, “Except in Christ Jesus, there is no peace and happiness elsewhere”. Yes, this is true. So, any life a person would live and wished it’s a happy one, would be a “life in Christ Jesus”, else every other life has no peace nor joy. Let’s look at the life of King Solomon once again.
Key Scripture
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.John 14:6 ESV
Refreshing for the Day
The king was searching for true happiness. He had great wealth, had numerous wives and many concubines. He was so eager to see what a source of true pleasure would be, and what was good for the sons of men to do under heaven all the days of their lives (Eccl 2:1-3). But all proved fruitless. He continued his quest for happiness in alcohol, but the key to happiness was certainly not in a bottle. Then the weary king concluded, vanity of vanities, all is vanity (Eccl 1:2).
Just like Solomon, too many people have continued to search for true happiness where it does not exist. But the truth of the matter is, aside from Christ Jesus, there is no happiness elsewhere. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
Life in Christ Jesus guarantees a man sincere and genuine happiness, every other way is counterfeit, yet invalid.
