The Oil of the Secret Place (1)

The secret place is where the deepest intimacy with God is birthed. It is not found in the noise of the crowd, nor in the applause of men, but in the quiet corners where your heart meets His. In the secret place, roots grow deep, oil flows fresh, and strength is renewed. Jesus taught us that prayer is not a performance for others, but a personal encounter with the Father (Matthew 6:6). The secret place is not about location but posture—it is the hidden life of communion where Heaven pours oil into vessels that wait. This oil sustains you when the storms rage, empowers you when battles come, and prepares you for the Bridegroom’s arrival.

Jesus Himself modeled this lifestyle: “But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.” —Luke 5:16 Before miracles, before ministry, before decisions—He entered the secret place. If the Son of God needed that hidden communion, how much more do we? In the secret place, you don’t come to impress God with eloquent words. You come to be emptied, to listen, to pour out, and to be filled again. It is the place where intimacy deepens, and the oil of God’s presence is replenished.

Many want public power without private prayer. But the truth is, the authority you carry in the open is only as strong as the intimacy you cultivate in the hidden. The oil of the secret place cannot be borrowed—it must be sought. The secret place is where strength is renewed and oil is poured afresh. Stay Refreshed!
