Devotional
So, beloved, “the Lord will intercede for you” is a prayer and a promise. The heart of this promise lies in the assurance that God will intercede for us. To intercede means to plead and mediate, to defend and intervene, support, nourish, and uphold. God’s interceding and sustaining power goes beyond mere survival; it encompasses His divine shield and provision, strength, and guidance. Alleluia!
Key Scripture
He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no one to intercede; then his own arm brought him salvation, and his righteousness upheld him.Isaiah 59:16 (ESV)
Refreshing for the Day
The verse concludes with the idea that God’s righteousness sustains Him. This highlights the unwavering nature of God’s character. He is not only mighty to save, but His righteousness ensures that His salvation is just and perfect. So, when God intervenes in our lives, we can trust that His actions are rooted in His righteousness and love. Stay Refreshed!
