Devotional

Beloved, another all-important key to fruitful living is “allowing the Word of God to abide in you”. This is a one more biblical truth, a piece of evidence that has the power to transform a person and release him into a greater dimension of success in life. It is a part of the Scripture verse of John 15:7, and it says,

Key Scripture

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
John 15:7 ESV

Refreshing for the Day

You see, it is one thing to abide in Christ and another to allow His Word to abide in you. They go hand-in-hand. But even at that, no man who has sincerely abided in Christ would struggle to allow the Word abides in him. The reason for the struggle is because such a man has not truthfully abided in Christ. No wonder, too many people go to church, belong to almost all the pious societies in the church, and participate in all the spiritual activities therein, and yet they’re not living a fruitful life. Their mind is so bitter and desperately wicked, and their character so rotted. Yes, they go to church, yet they struggle. This is because they have not allowed the Word of God to abide in them.

And so, dear friend in Christ, I pray for you today, as you abide in Christ, may God cause His Word to abide in you. Stay Refreshed!

Note This

Until a man abides in Christ and allow the Word of God abides in him, he will never be truly fruitful in life.
