Devotional
So, beloved, one other way the joy of the Lord becomes our strength is that it renews our perspective in life. It shifts our focus from the challenges at hand to the greatness of our God. Yes, it’s true. When we fix our gaze on God’s sovereignty, faithfulness, and love, we find renewed confidence in His ability to guide us through every circumstance. And this perspective reminds us that God’s power is made perfect in our weakness (see 2 Corinthians 12:9).
Key Scripture
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.2 Corinthians 12:9
Refreshing for the Day
Again, we should also note that the joy of the Lord is not meant to be contained within us. It’s a gift to be shared with others. So, as we overflow with God’s joy, we become bearers of hope to a world in need. Our joy becomes a testimony of God’s goodness and a beacon of light in the darkness. Stay Refreshed!
