Devotional
In the unpredictable journey of life, storms are inevitable. These tempests can take various forms—personal trials, unexpected challenges, or even the turbulence of a rapidly changing world. Yet, in the midst of these storms, we are assured of an unchanging truth: God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Key Scripture
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth gives way, and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.Psalm 46:1-3 (NIV)
Refreshing for the Day
The psalmist paints a vivid picture of the chaos that can surround us—the earth giving way, mountains falling, waters roaring, and mountains quaking. It’s a poetic expression of the upheavals we may face. However, in the face of such tumult, the psalmist declares a profound resolution: “Therefore we will not fear.” Stay Refreshed!
Note This
To stand firm in the storms requires an unshakable faith grounded in the understanding that our God is greater than any tempest we encounter.
