Devotional
The point of making great resolutions and see to it until its accomplishment isn’t first and foremost our effort alone, our struggle nor how hard working we are, but by divine providence and the mercy of God. We don’t just involve GOD in all the stages of our resolves, we also cover all our efforts in prayer. In prayer, we commit our plans to God, re-consecrate ourselves, our efforts again and again to pursue our resolves “by the strength that God supplies, in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 4:11).
Key Scripture
To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power,2 Thess 1:11 ESV
