Again, beloved, another sure practical way we can grow and nurture the joy of the Lord is by guarding our hearts against negativity. You see, negativity and pessimism can stifle the growth of joy. So, we need to protect the garden of our hearts. And this requires being deliberate about what we sow in our heart. The apostle Paul was so explicit about this when he wrote to the Philippians in chapter 4 verse 8; he said,

Refreshing for the Day
So, protecting the garden of our hearts also requires being intentional about what we allow in it. Yes, it’s true. We must also limit exposure to negative influences that drain our joy and focus on things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy. Stay Refreshed!
