Devotional
So, when we talk about nothing happens by chance, it does not exclude God’s timing. Sometimes we misinterpret God’s perfect timing for a delay, where therefore it’s not. Thus, troubles and delays do not happen by chance, even when the enemy would want to capitalize on it to deter our faith and confidence in God. God will always arrest the situation, rubbish the plans of the enemy and through it brings glory to His Name.
Key Scripture
…No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.John 11:4 NLT
Refreshing for the Day
So many of the trial’s believers face can ultimately bring glory to God, because our God is a specialist in turning situations around. He can bring good out of any bad situation (Gen 50:20; Rom 8:28). What the enemy wanted to use to destroy us, God uses it to bless us. So, that was the case of Mary and her sister Martha in John 11:1-44. When their brother Lazarus was sick, they sent a message to Jesus telling Him, “Lord, your dear friend is very sick.” But when Jesus heard about it He said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.”
Beloved, notice that even though Jesus loved this family and often stayed with them. He also knew their pain, but He didn’t respond immediately. His delay had a specific purpose. God’s timing. Sometimes, God delays make us think He is not answering or is not answering the way we want. But God will meet all our needs according to His perfect Will and Purpose (Phil 4:19). So, patiently wait His timing, for His delays in not by chance. Stay Refreshed!
