Devotional
The insights and experiences of people have shown that one of the reasons many people are so prayerful, but a very few are truly successful is owed to the fact that they don’t match up their prayers with the corresponding efforts. And this anytime negates and has dearly contradicted the counsel of brother James in chapter 2:26, it says,
Key Scripture
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.James 2:26 NKJV
Refreshing for the Day
So beloved, just like faith, prayer without work is dead. We often substitute efforts for prayers. Please don’t get me wrong; prayer is good, but when used as a replacement for work, it amounts to naught. Therefore, in as much as we meet to pray, the fact remains that, we likewise need as many meetings for actions as for prayers, possibly more. So, my counsel to you is, as you labor in prayer in this new year, also learn to match up your prayers with resultant works. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
Great successes are the function of thoughtful prayer-plans matched up with the corresponding efforts.
Responsibility
So, as the year set out, pray, and match up your prayers with works.
Pause in His presence
Prayer
O LORD, give me the grace to match up efforts with my prayers, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Carry this with you
Prophetic Word
May the Lord bless you and crown all your efforts with great success, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
