Devotional
If we’re going to become all we were created to be, fulfilling the purposes and manifesting our destinies, we have to keep a fire in our spirit. We have to make up our mind that no matter what, we must surely make it happen. There are great promises God placed in our hearts, but the capacity to manifest them borders strongly on how determined we are.
Key Scripture
But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.Luke 21:14 NIV
Refreshing for the Day
Beloved, there are certain natural forces militating against the plans of God in a man’s life. Any wonder many purposes are left unfulfilled, but it takes a ready mind to overcome it. It takes a mind that never accepts no as an answer. There has to be a holy determination.
In Ruth 1:16, Ruth was almost talked into relinquishing her position in life, but she was so strong willed, she demonstrated a ready mind, she stood her ground, and the rest was a story. Yours can always be so too. So, as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus today, let us make up our mind that in everything we do, the life of Christ will reign supreme in us. Merry Christmas!
Note This
Great are the promises of God in a man’s life, but it takes a ready mind to harness them.
