Devotional
Another principal key on how to establish the habit of living for Christ is to develop the mindset of Christ Jesus. You see, our mind is everything; it reflects who we are and what we live for. Any wonder the Scripture says, “As he [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Prov. 23:7). This suggestively means that the way we think determines how we live and who we are. And so, if we want to establish the habit of living for Christ, we must learn to take our thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Cor 10:4-5).
Key Scripture
Set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things) …Colossians 3:2 AMP
Refreshing for the Day
It is so important for us to understand this irrefutable key because if we don’t learn how to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, we won’t live the life Jesus died to give us. A life of peace with God, peace with ourselves and peace with others. A life that gives real joy, guarantees us great relationships, and the ability to become all God has created us to be. But it boils down to choosing to believe what God says more than we believe our feelings, what other people say or our circumstances. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
For you to live for Christ you must have a mind that agrees with the mind of Christ.
Responsibility
So, always pray even as you make efforts to have the mind of Christ and demonstrate same in your life.
Pause in His presence
Prayer
O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to be like you, think like you and see things the way you see them, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
Carry this with you
Prophetic Word
As you set your minds on the things above, may your help come from above, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
