Devotional

Previously we defined worry as an expression of fear and lack of faith. We also learnt that the presence of worry in a person’s life is the absence of trust in God. Now, let us look at how one can overcome worry.

TIMES OF REFRESHING

Key Scripture

Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you
1 Peter 5:7, NIV

Refreshing for the Day

Worrying doesn’t benefit you in any way, but it does harm you in many ways.

As Christians, God is working on our behalf, so we don’t have to worry because God is always there for us.

HOW ONE CAN OVERCOME WORRY:

1.) Live in a relationship with Jesus (John 15:4-5).

2.) Believe in God and put your hope in Him (Hebrews 11:1).

3.) Look beyond your circumstances, worries, and situations to God (Matthew 6:25-27).

4.) Embrace the peace that Jesus offers you. Trust your worries and challenges to God and embrace the peace He offers (Psalm 34:14).

5.) Choose to pray instead of worrying (Philippians 4:6-7).

Beloved, while it is healthy to be concerned about a thing, it is unhealthy to worry about it. Worry drains you mentally, physically, psychologically and spiritually. So, I counsel you not to worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Stay lifted.

Note This

Worrying doesn’t benefit you in any way, but it does harm you in many ways.

Responsibility

Since worry keeps you stuck on problems and distracts you spiritually, keep away from worrying.

PRAYERS:

Oh Lord, help me to overcome every form of worrying in my life, In Jesus name, Amen (Just go ahead and continue to pray).

Carry this with you

Prophetic Word

May God bless you and give you the grace to overcome worry in Jesus name, Amen.
