Devotional
The recent past, we examined how disastrous and depressing it would be to have gone through your whole life and at the end of it, look back, and realize that you spent all your time, money and energy on things that were pointless and had no value or worth. Now, we shall be looking at how to live your life with eternity in mind.
TIMES OF REFRESHING
Key Scripture
Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal,Matthew 6:20 NLT
Refreshing for the Day
Life without eternity in view is mortality.
Our anchor scripture encourages us, as we plan and work in life, let us also store up treasures in heaven, that’s eternity. The brevity of life and our existence shows that we must at any point in time live with eternity in view.
So, how then can you live your life with eternity in mind?
i. Surrender your life to Jesus, (2 Cor. 5:17, John 3:3, 7-8).
ii. Live daily with the consciousness of God’s presence in your life, (Psm 17:5, 1 Sam 2:30).
iii. Live to please God with your life, (Matt. 3:17).
iv. Live a sin-free life, (John 8:11, Acts 2:38).
v. Live to glorify God with your life, (1 John 4:19, Psm 115:1).
vi. Live to represent God in your life and generations, (Mark 8:38, Gal. 6:17).
vii. Live in love and peace with all men, (Rom. 14:19, 1 John 4:20).
Stay Refreshed!
