Devotional

It has been established that as Christians, we are the light of the world, (Matt. 5:14). We are called to shine as lights before others, to be a pace setter and spiritual pathfinder pointing people to the light of Christ. So, let us look at how can we be a light in the midst of darkness.

TIMES OF REFRESHING

Key Scripture

No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house,
Matthew 5:15 NLT

Refreshing for the Day

Jesus is the true light, in Him we find and become light.

SO, HOW CAN WE BE A LIGHT IN THE MIDST OF DARKNESS?

We must;

i. Put on the armor of light and right living, (Rom 13:12).

ii. Clothe yourself with presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, (Rom 13:14).

iii. Be a beacon of truth

iv. Don’t let sin dim your light

v. Bear witness, (Matt 5:16)

vi. Think of others, (John 1:6-9, Luke 6:31).

In conclusion beloved, before we can be a light to others, we must first of all take a look at our own life, put our ways right and make sure our light shines brightly. Put a check on our attitude to others, for this speak better than words. Stay Lifted!
