Devotional
We live in a society that wants everything right now, and this has become one of the biggest challenges of mankind. We’re being programmed for immediacy, we’re no longer patient. We set a timetable for ourselves and want to see the results happen immediately. We call it working under faith. Yes, we have got the faith part down, let’s make sure we get the patient part down too. The both work together. For the scripture says, “It’s through faith and patience that we inherit the promises” (Heb. 6:12).
And when everything we want is not coming forth, we’d be greatly troubled. We begin to murmur and many times we ask, “God, why?” But in sincerity, God knows what He is doing.
Key Scripture
… God is greater than our feelings, and He knows everything.1 John 3:20 NLT
Refreshing for the Day
Beloved it’s said, when you go to Rome, you behave like the Romans. You do what they do and eat whatever they eat. That’s how it is in Christendom. Being a child of God requires you understand the divulged principles of the kingdom and how it works. You are not defiant to the set instructions; you simply obey them for your own benefit.
In this kingdom, God is in charge and He knows what He is doing. He knew you even before you were formed in your mother’s womb (Jer 1:5). And He has made available everything you would need in life and plugged them through the corridors of time. He knows what’s up ahead. He knows what you’re going to need and when you’d need them, He knows who you’re going to meet, and when they need to show up. There’s no need for you to create a new timetable for yourself, just patiently follow His timetable. If God would answer every prayer we said on our timetable, it would limit us. And what is supposed to be a blessing becomes a burden. God knows all that, and He keeps on preserving us, but ours is to follow. Stay Lifted!
Note This
Patience is the water by which the pills of faith are being swallowed down. Having enough faith is great, but it needs a substantial patience to thrive.

O LORD, give me the grace to be obedient, even as I patiently heed to Your precepts, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
