Devotional
Beloved, I want to share with you on the subject “Follow peace with all men”. Perhaps, this matter is one of the greatest acidic tests of all time in the life of every child of God. You see, God puts us in relationships with all kinds of people. We think differently, and we have different personalities, interests and ideas. God made us that way on purpose. Although each one of us is different, had a different background and upbringing, and doesn’t behave alike, but God still wants us all to get along. It’s for a purpose. So, the Bible says in Hebrew 12:14,
Key Scripture
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord,Hebrew 12:14 KJV
Refreshing for the Day
In our relationships and dealings with people, we always want to have our way, and care more about being right. But in all sincerity, God wants us to care more about maintaining peace in our relationships than we care about being right (Rom 12:18). And He wants us to have a good attitude even when we don’t get our way. God wants us to forgive, even when people betray us and hurt our feelings (Eph 4:32). God is looking for those who will carry out His program fully on earth, and part of that program is learning how to forgive quickly, frequently and thoroughly. (Acts 13:22).
These and many others are the real purpose of God concerning this matter. But then how do we achieve this feat? We shall be looking at that tomorrow, but till then, stay refreshed!
Note This
God wants us to care more about maintaining peace in our relationships than we care about being right.
