Devotional

So, yesterday it was established that it’s only those that live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of God. And they shall reside under God’s protection, and the Lord shall be their rest and refuge for ever. Thus, what does it mean to live in the shelter of the Most High and how can we achieve it? And the Bible has this to say in Psalm 36:7,

Key Scripture

How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
Psalm 36:7 BSB

Refreshing for the Day

Firstly, it means for one to have his thought always on God. Trusting and relying on Him in his dangers and difficulties. He acquaints himself with inward faith, and he is so passionate about the service of God. David was an example of such a person. No wonder, he declared in Psalm 63:1-2, “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”

Therefore, beloved, it is the privilege and comfort of those who live in the shelter of the Most High; the Lord would shelter them and protect them from every evil. He shall be their God and defend them in the days of trouble. Stay Refreshed!

Note This

The Lord is the hiding place of those who live in His shelter. He shall preserve them from trouble and compasses them about with songs of deliverance (Psalm 32:7).
