Devotional
So, beloved, exploring another profound depth of finding guidance and security in Jesus we look at “Seeking God’s wisdom.” (James 1:5) Seeking Jesus’ wisdom involves humbly acknowledging our limitations and our need for His guidance. It requires a willingness to set aside our own preconceived notions and biases, and to be open to His leading. As we seek His wisdom through prayer, Scripture, and seeking counsel from mature believers, we position ourselves to receive the insights and discernment necessary to navigate life’s challenges with grace and clarity.
Key Scripture
If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.James 1:5 (NIV)
Refreshing for the Day
The verse presents a powerful invitation to seek wisdom from God, who gives generously and without reproach. It acknowledges the reality that we all face moments of uncertainty and decision-making where we lack the wisdom to discern the best course of action. In those moments, God invites us to come to Him in prayer, trusting that He will provide the wisdom we need. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
God’s wisdom is not reserved for a select few but is available to all who seek it.
Responsibility
So, beloved, as you reflect on this, consider how you can cultivate a posture of seeking God’s wisdom daily. How can you prioritize prayer, Scripture study, and seeking wise counsel from others in your pursuit of wisdom.
