Devotional
The secret to success is to have a vision. Vision gives us direction in life. A man without vision would drift anywhere. The subject about vision is so popular, it’s taught everywhere, but its application is so rare and often misread. So, in today’s devotional we shall be looking at few rules for success as regards to vision.
Key Scripture
Where there is no vision [no revelation of God and His word], the people are unrestrained; But happy and blessed is he who keeps the law [of God].Proverbs 29:18 AMP
Refreshing for the Day
So, the number one rule for success is to “have a vision”. Sometimes, people and the society would try to detect your vision, and they directly or indirectly want to push you into it. They see you fit better into it; they wished the best for you. But the truth is, if you don’t know what you want, you may end up with what people want for you. No matter how wonderful what they project for you may be, if it is not for you, it will never be for you. Yes, they have a vision, but it may never be your vision.
Hence, the second rule for success is “desire to leave out your vision”. It’s one thing to have a vision and it’s another to live it out. Beloved, in the course of pursuing your vision, you may encounter pessimists and cynics, people who don’t believe it’s possible. So, don’t’ listen to the naysayers, but desire to live out your vision. Yes, your vision may seem impossible, and nobody has done it before, but be resolute to see it out (Hab 2:2-3). After all Nelson Mandella said, “Everything is impossible until some does it”. Be that someone who will do the impossible. Do not allow what people believe, do, or say discourage your vision. Just try and keep on trying. Even when you fall, stand up and try again. Stay Refreshed!
Note This
If you don’t know what you want, you may end up with what people want for you. So, the key is, have a vision and a desire to live it out.
