Devotional
So, beloved, let’s not presumed that this call to Jesus is for a certain set of people. No, it’s for all of us. To the broken and hurting; it’s a message of relief. Jesus is a compassionate Savior who extends His love to the broken-hearted, the weary, and those burdened with pain and suffering. Those who are experiencing trials, grief, or emotional distress can find solace and healing in the presence of Jesus. As it’s written in Psalm 34:18,
Key Scripture
The LORD is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.Psalm 34:18 NIV
Refreshing for the Day
To the depressed, it’s a message of encouragement. Those who are searching for meaning, purpose, and truth in life are encouraged to come to Jesus. Many individuals feel a void in their hearts that material possessions, success, or relationships cannot fill. Jesus invites those who seek fulfillment and satisfaction to find their rest in Him (Matthew 11:28-30). To all of us the sinners, it’s a message of hope and reconciliation. You see, none of us are without sin, and the Bible affirms that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). So, the call to come to Jesus while there’s time is for those burdened by their sin, seeking forgiveness and reconciliation with God through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross (1 John 1:9). Stay Refreshed!
