Devotional
In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we often find ourselves carrying heavy burdens—burdens of worry, burdens of doubt, fear, guilt, and shame. These burdens can weigh us down and leave us feeling weary, as if the weight of the world is upon our shoulders. But, in times like these, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that we don’t have to bear these burdens alone. Jesus invites us with open arms, saying, “Come as you are.” In Matthew 11:28-30, He said,
Key Scripture
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)
Refreshing for the Day
So, beloved, no matter where you’ve been, what you’ve done, or who you are, God invites you to approach Him with authenticity, vulnerability, and trust. God doesn’t expect us to come to Him with our lives all neatly put together or with all our problems solved. He invites us to come to Him just as we are, with our brokenness, our struggles, and our imperfections. He welcomes us with open arms, ready to provide rest for our weary souls. Stay Refreshed!
