Enduring with Hope
Devotional
To carry your cross daily is to endure, but not without hope. Jesus carried His cross knowing that the resurrection was on the other side. We, too, carry our crosses with the hope of eternal life and the joy of knowing Christ more intimately. Endurance in the Christian life is fueled by hope—the confident expectation that God’s promises will be fulfilled. When we endure hardships, we keep our eyes on Jesus, the source of our hope.
Scripture Reading
“Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” — Hebrews 12:2
