Breaking Through the Barriers (1)

Life is full of barriers—sin, fear, doubt, generational strongholds, spiritual opposition, and even self-imposed limits. These barriers stand like walls, blocking us from the fullness of God’s promises. But we serve the Breaker—the One who goes before us, shattering walls, opening gates, and making a way where there seems to be none. So, beloved, through repentance, prayer, and faith, every barrier can fall. This devotional series will stir your faith to partner with God—the Breaker—to see obstacles removed, chains shattered, and breakthrough released in every area of your life.

Before you can break through, you must know the God who breaks through. Scripture reveals Him as Baal-Perazim—“The Lord of the Breakthrough.” When David faced the Philistines, God gave him victory in such a powerful way that he named the place Baal-Perazim: “As waters break out, the Lord has broken out against my enemies before me.”

— (2 Samuel 5:20) This is the nature of our God—He doesn’t just help you survive the battle, He breaks through like a rushing flood, overwhelming every obstacle.

Many of us are stopped by barriers of fear, shame, sin, or delay. But Micah 2:13 reminds us that “The One who breaks open will go up before them.” Beloved, you are not breaking through alone—your King goes first! Breakthrough isn’t just about effort—it’s about alignment. When you walk with the God of Breakthrough, no barrier can stand against you. Breakthrough begins not with your strength, but with your God. Stay Refreshed!
