So, beloved, another powerful lesson we should learn from Mary’s joyful surrender as we journey through the advent season is “trusting in God’s providence.” You see, Mary’s surrender was an affirmation of her trust in God’s providence. She believed that God’s plan, though beyond human understanding, was perfect. Her joy emanated from the deep-seated conviction that God was in control, orchestrating every detail for His glory. Despite her confusion and likely fear, she listened to the divine message with an open heart. And thus, she said in Luke 1:38,
