Now we shall be looking at ways one can set his heart on God.

TIMES OF REFRESHING

Key Scripture

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God,
Colossians 3:1 NIV

Refreshing for the Day

Setting our heart on God is a desire to let our heart come alive and in tone with the desires of God.

However, some Christians have become so busy with life pursuit and fail to align their heart and desires to the desires of God. So, here are (3) ways you can set your heart on God;

1. Make God the first priority in your life: When Christ is all that matters to you, and He becomes the center of your life, your heart, spirit and soul will be satisfied and you will never want anything less, (Matthew 6:33).

2. Intentionally cultivate and develop relationship with God: When you are grossly soaked in communion with God, you will want more of His character, more of His presence and more of the Holy Spirit, (John 14:23, Prov. 18:14).

3. Passionately pursue God with all your hearts, minds and souls: Just like David, you will be so overwhelmed by passion and love for God that you won’t be able to contain it, (Psalm 42:1).

Beloved, God invites us to an intimate communion with Him. When we set our heart on Him, we can begin to experience His overwhelming joy, power and peace. Put these ways into practice and begin to be experience God’s presence as He strengthens your faith, encourages your heart and shifts your perspective. Stay Lifted!
